Standard Presentation - Final Arrangements

Final arangements have been released for those attending the Presentation of the new Squadron Standard at

RAF Coningsby on 22nd September 2009.

On arrival at the Guardroom you will be met by myself and Flt Lt Andy King ( Squadron Association Officer ). I will be there from

12:00.   If arriving before then please call me on 07909 904917

After checking in and receiving a personal pass, Car pass and station map you will be directed to the car parking area (Signposted ).

Please bring some form of Identification - either a passport or driving licence.

Dress at the parade for non serving Association members will be suit or jacket and tie. For the event at the squadron later it

will be casual dress.

 

Timing:

1415 VIP and Guests Arrive on Base.

1430 VIPs meet and change at Officers’ Mess – VIPs will be close hosted by XI Squadron personnel.

1500 AOC arrives.

1500 Guests seated.

1500+ VIPs coffee in Mess.

1530 Parade starts.

1630 Parade finishes.

1650 Typhoon display followed by Spitfire display; datum between Officers’ Mess and Clothing Stores.

1700 VIPs and Guests transported to XI Squadron.

1720+ Barbeque and Squadron event.

A/R Guests depart.

RULES FOR SPECTATORS AT CEREMONIAL PARADES

Marching On Standard. Whenever a standard is marched on and or/passes directly in front of spectators.
Spectators stand and salute or uncover.

Arrival of Reviewing Officer.
Spectators stand.

General Salute.
Spectators stand and salute or uncover.

Reviewing Officer returns from the Inspection.
Spectators remain seated.

Presentation of standard. When the new standard is marched on parade.
Spectators stand and salute or uncover.

March Past:

 

With standard
Spectators stand and salute or uncover as standard passes directly in front of them.

Without standard
Spectators remain seated.

Advance in Review Order:

 

General Salute.
Spectators stand and salute or uncover.

Marching Off standard. Whenever a standard is marched off and/or passed directly in front of spectators.
Spectators stand and salute or uncover.
