Tony Damer RIP - George Kearns RIP
It is with sadness I have to report the loss of two of our members.
It has been brought to my attention that long standing member Tony Damer died a few months ago.
Tony who lived in Horsham served with XI as an electrician and served in the Middle East - Ceylon - India and Burma.
I was contacted by Don Clark from Latham in Australia, who runs the 211 Sqn website.
XI and 211 served alongside each other in Greece and Palestine both flying the Blenheim.
George Kearns was a Wireless Operator / Air Gunner serving with both 211 and XI and completed 48 ops.
George died recently in Canada which had been his home since 1968. Here is a link to George Kearns on the 211 Squadron site;

They shall not grow old, as we that are left grow old
Age shall not weary them, or the years condemn
At the going down of the sun, and in the morning
We will remember them
