Changes at the Squadron

Wing Commander Gav Parker was promoted to Group Captain on 1 January 2009 and handed the Squadron

over to Wing Commander Jez Attridge on 5th April 2009. An outstanding supporter of the Association Group Captain Parker

has now taken up his new post at Policy and Plans at HQ Air Command.

Wing Commander Jez Attridge is posted in from 3 Squadron (Typhoon) where he was a Flight Commander and

was awarded the MBE for his services.

A graduate of Australian Staff College his previous tours have included Tornado F3 and F18.

Changes at the Association

Air Vice Marshal John Cliffe CB OBE, after a period of 7 years as Association Chairman handed over to

Group Captain Tony Innes in April 2008. John Cliffe has now retired from the service and is now Director of

Warfare Training at Cobham Aviation Services.

Group Captain Tony Innes has recently moved from his post as OC Ops at RAF Coningsby to the MOD in London.

Ian Coates has now stood down as Association Secretary after an exceptionally hard working period of tenure.

The new Secretary is Iain Small, who was appointed at the 2009 AGM.
