Burma Fund Update
Our Burma Fund was started last year to sponsor our WW2 members at Association events. Alec West suggested the idea at our AGM in April
2010. To date we have had contributions of £1053 from the members detailed later on this page. These contributions are handled completely separately from
normal Association Funds and are entirely for the support of our WW2 members at Association events
So far the fund has covered the meal and hotel cost of 11 of our WW2 members over 2 events at the Victory Services Club.
Contributions have totalled £892.22 which leaves the Burma Fund at £160.78.
The WW2 members have been greatly appreciative of this help towards their participation and have asked me to pass on their thanks to all concerned.
I would like this fund to be ongoing ! I'm sure one day it will become the Wunstorf fund etc etc.
To that end, and with our next event - the 2012 annual reunion which will be held at Coningsby in the Spring, any contributions would be most welcome.
Cheques please to " XI Squadron Association " and send to myself or Treasurer Paul Field.
Our collective sincere thanks to the following Association members that have contributed so far;
